“An algorithm is a finite set of well-defined instructions for accomplishing some task which, given an initial state, will terminate in a corresponding recognizable end-state.”

PHANTASMATRASH’S unreleased album, ALGORHYTHMIC REDEMPTION was produced and recorded at GOD CITY STUDIOS, Salem, MA in the spring of 2006.  Serving as the third installment of the PHANTASMATRASH trilogy (preceded by GYRODE in 2004 and POLICY WONKS in 2005), the album was the final afterthought or “end-state” in the sociopolitical, satirical saga.  ALGORHYTHMIC REDEMPTION, by employing its mathematical counterpart, the algorithm, recognizes the role of music and explores how it can be a catalyst to incite meaningful change and how one can use it to obtain a perceptual shift.  Alongside Ashton Boynton (INSANIC WORKSHOP), the other co-conspirators on the album were: Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE), Brian McOmber (THE DIRTY PROJECTORS), and Jeff Brown (CALL IT ARSON).
